SoundFridge is the professional site of Dalan E. Decker. I specialize in bringing an enthusiastic, conversational tone to nonfiction projects and have produced hundreds professionally to date. Some are available on Audible.com, some are used on other sites, and many are used by private clients for internal resources.
I have a professional Whisper Room® voice booth in my home studio and record using the highest-quality professional equipment and software.
In addition to audio books, I also produce radio spots, short stories, Spotify ads, ESL (English as a second language) materials, voice-overs for corporate videos and explainer videos, and the list goes on. I also work through Fiverr, VoiceBunny, Amazon ACX, and UpWork. I prefer working through my personal site, since it makes communicating with you easier and allows me to charge less per project.
I was born and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA. After high school, I studied at Radio 1 Broadcast School and then accepted a position at The Rock Radio Network in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a bilingual, nonprofit community station. I proudly worked there for over 12 years before leaving to concentrate full time on SoundFridge and continuing my education. I have been married to Elise Loyacano Perl, the love of my life (and favorite author) since 2008.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Nursing from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico and am continuing my education at the University of Puerto Rico with a pre-medical track. My hope is to become a surgeon to help bring medical care to those who need it the most. When you purchase voice work from me, you’re helping me to pursue that dream!
